<p>For engineering major (computer engineering)?</p>
<p>Academically, they are on par. One is not objectively superior to the other. Some students will prefer one, other students will prefer the other.</p>
<p>You will need to consider costs (after any financial aid/scholarships), geographic area (middle of Indiana vs. NY State, outside Albany). I’m sure there are campus culture differences… if it came down to one versus the other, I would have to visit and go with my gut.</p>
<p>Very different learning environments, RPI IMO has a slight edge academically. RPI is a very small campus that recognizes and promotes the entranaperual spirit. Purdue has a large, diverse student body. You should visit both if you have not done so already,</p>
<p>I would recommend Purdue over RPI. Though the culture of the school matters, Purdue’s reach in Engg. is worldwide.</p>
