RPI vs WPI vs Stevens Institute

Hello! Lately I’ve been trying to narrow down my list of 11 and to do that I’m looking to my “matches.” I’ve seen both the Stevens and WPI campuses and I thought they were nice, but I’m not the type of person to fall in love with a campus. So I was wondering what you guys think about these schools and which one is the overall best. I’d appreciate any feedback!!!

If your academic interests fall generally along the lines of engineering, then you might, along with other aspects, want to consider RPI’s U.S. News ranking of 30th in this field in its category. (WPI lands at #61, Stevens at #78.)

WPI and RPI are VERY different schools. WPI is a place where the focus is on project work and collaborative learning. Both great schools, but very different feel— not just the physical campus, but the activity on that campus. If you are within a reasonable distance, I encourage you to visit again. We made several visits to each and the differences were palpable. You need to choose the school that’s the best fit for YOU. Good luck!
