RPI vs WPI?

My decision is pretty much down to these 2 - does anyone have some input as to which they like better?

I know a lot about WPI (know someone there) but not so much about RPI and won't get to visit again until the accepted students celebration. I'm afraid that day will be too crowded and "come-to-our-school" centered to really get to know the school, so input would be greatly appreciated - Thanks!

What is your intended major?
If it is bio RPI is far superior. (I applied to both and received similar merit aid from these schools, but essentially decided that WPI was lacking in terms of a strong bio department)

thanks for the response!

i'm planning on majoring in mechanical engineering, but i also want to do something (minor maybe) in math, so i'm really looking into both

Can I tag on here and ask about computer science? Which would be better? Thanks!

You might private message originaloog, whose son goes to RPI. (He is also an engineering prof someplace else.) He's been very helpful to me, as we looked at RPI but my son is just a HS junior.

The obvious difference between RPI and WPI is size. RPI has a higher recognition factor, and is also more highly ranked than WPI. But kids seem to really like WPI.
