It was relatively even last year, but I remember hearing that the year before there were only about 20 girls and ~60 boys, and even last year I think it was majority guys. There’s no real way of knowing if it has an effect without knowing what percentage of applicants are male/female.</p>

<p>Personally, I’m only using the state applicant counts to get an idea of who I’m competing against (aka stalking the other applicants from NJ).</p>

<p>RSI is usually about a third female and two thirds male. It was much closer to even last year because of Singapore sending much more females than usual.</p>

<p>@darksigma: I don’t know if David Yang is applying or not. Regardless, it doesn’t affect the California quota since he lives in New Hamphire. Though I wouldn’t envy his roommate if he attended RSI :P</p>

<p>Will an 800 Math 2 SAT subject test help to make up for my 203 SAT score, or is a perfect score standard at RSI? I think that my test scores are the weakest point in my application, so if a perfect subject test helps compensate, I may have a far better chance of getting in.</p>
<p>@RSIuser: I sent it in on Tuesday and it got there on Wednesday at 10:16 am according to UPS. I got my receipt letter I put in the package today.</p>
