I was absent for my finals, so I got temporary zeros for my final. Do you think that went on my transcript?? Because that would totally screw up my GPA
@Mjag1898 This is an interesting question. I also would like to know if first semester grades are required as my school has yet to finalize them.
Many people in the past did not send in first semester grades. You could have sent in something unofficial like a report card, and now have your school forward the grades when they are ready.

Okay so I looked on last years forum and it looks like most people were notified on March 6th in the morning. So it might be early March but it might be late March instead. Just have to wait on the results now.

Hey guys, I kinda screwed up. I misread the application saying you needed 2 teacher recommendations. I accidently only had I teacher recommendation and 1 laboratory supervisor recommendation (becuase I thought it was asking for total of 2). Am I screwed or will I be fine?
Also is it bad if my application arrives right on Friday?
I consider myself to be pretty smart, on the SSAT in middle school I got a perfect score, and on the Plan test (its like Pre ACT) I got 32/32. However, I did really bad on the PSAT (Math 80 CR 64 Writing 57) and I’m not sure why. It’s not like I’m a foreign student who is bad at English or anything…Will this bad PSAT score affect my application greatly? Everything else on my application is pretty good (All A student, etc)

@kenkhnoh I think you will be okay with the recommendations. I also think it /should/ be okay if it arrives on Friday but it says “BY the 16th” so I’m not entirely sure. None of us have any idea how your test score will impact your application. People with lower scores have gotten into RSI, but most have very high scores. That’s all anyone here can tell you because we are not on the admissions committee.
^ Same as above for @biosmasher . People with the title of USABO national finalist have gotten into RSI, but also lots have gotten in with more impressive and less impressive awards than that.
