Last year they started sending results on March 6th but it varies from year to year and that was quite early.

if your research areas are too obscure, they may have difficulty finding someone to mentor you so your question is not an easy one to answer.

Neuroscience is not an obscure field! There is green chemistry research going on at MIT & Harvard

How much do you think being from an “unrepresented” state will help? I know they want to have people from as many states as possible… Btw I’m from Alabama.
They’ll most likely take 1 from your state. If you are among the very top in terms of qualifications, you stand a decent chance.
