How do we submit our PSAT scores if the app deadline is before the PSAT’s score release date?
Haven’t seen a thread yet for RSI 2023 apps.

It is not mandatory. Report the ACT or SAT score instead if you have a decent one.
I used the PSAT score from last year as I haven’t taken SAT/ACT.
Idk about what state you’re from but in texas we take Psat/nmsqt in 10th and 11th. So I just reported my 10th grade score (cause i was p happy w it) and also my sat score (not as happy, but worth mentioning)
I decided to make the bombastic decision to apply to RSI this year. How do we feel about the application?
I’m pretty happy with my essay questions and I think I have p good stats, especially my research background. but tbh I think my biggest deficit is a lack of olympiads like sci oly or biology olympiad.
i also managed to get all my LoR’s so i feel p good about that too
Chance me!

My school doesn’t offer a the PSAT 10 and my SAT score is bad. Would submitting test optional even be worth the time?
idk i mean they seem pretty set on ppl submitting scores but I mean RSI is like a one chance typa thing. you might as well try if you want
Does anyone know if RSI actually wants the entire 5k character limit filled up?
I don’t think they care about that. I think it’s more about the quality. I read a few people’s past essays and they didn’t even cross 3500 for most questions
does anyone know if the deadline to receive recs is Dec 2 or Dec 7? I know the deadline to submit the app is Dec 2 but my teacher who’s writing my rec told me it says the deadline to submit the recs are later at Dec 7.
It is definitely Dec 2. Per an email, they gave recommenders a few extra days. Students must submit by 12/2.
Sorry, misread your q. Recommenders have til 12/7
Does anyone know how to submit the transcript? I think I heard somewhere that you need to add your counselor as a reference. Is that correct?
thank you for the clarification!
i emailed ms. ballestero, the head of the program, and she stated you’re supposed to use the remaining slots in the References section to upload the transcript; I think you need to ask your school secretary to do this for you? anyone, please feel free to clarify if i’m wrong!
Yes. Put a guidance counselor or school admin in one of the reference slots. They upload the transcript.
do we know when the results r coming out
wait what current research are you doing w MD Anderson? is this thru a program?
prob like an internship?
alr so last year apps were due 1/14 and decisions were in early march (march 10th). but now apps were due more than a month earlier, so i would assume it comes out a month earlier? i hope so at least. tbh i think it’ll be about the same time cause every summer progfram is expecting a huge influx of applications this year since programs are guaranteed to be in person.
