Okay, I will try to make this as short as possible! I applied to RU NB as a Fall 2009 transfer student. On the application I noted that I would have an Associates Degree by September since I am planning on taking summer courses. Summer courses are filling up at my CC and if I am not going to get into RU for the fall I would rather just work for the summer and reapply for Spring. So basically my question is what is the latest that RU would give a decision by? Thanks so much if anyone can help me!

When did you apply? I am in the same situation that I will have my AS degree by the time I enroll.

I submitted my application on the day of the priority deadline. However, my HS and CC transcripts did not get to them until about a week later.

I believe you should of gotten a decision already. Maybe you should call them to check.

I would definitely follow up. My son applied in mid February and his transcripts arrived within 2 weeks or so after that. He received his acceptance already. However, he kept in frequent contact with the university, from admissions to the Dean of Engineering. He also visited during an Open House and spoke with various people in the College of Engineering.

If it becomes necessary, is it possible to enroll for the summer and then withdraw later without a financial penalty? In case he didn’t get into RU, my son made all the necessary plans at his current university for next year.

Good luck to you!

Oh thank you so much! I will definitely contact them tomorrow. Do you think that an email would be sufficient or should I call the admissions office?

My son has done both. You won’t be able to get through to admissions directly. My son was put through because the dean recommended that he do so, and I guess that was the ticket. Maybe call the college you are applying to?
