Rug Rental?

Hi! My daughter will be located in Parham and trying to decide if she wants to RENT the rug or purchase her own. I’m thinking she may decide to move off campus next year, therefore, no need to purchase.
Any experience with the rug rental or opinions?
Thanks!

I purchased a rug at dormco.com at a very reasonable price. They don’t have a huge selection, but i did see the same rug at Target for $20 more, AND they have a $2.95 total shipping special that ends today and no sales tax outside of New York.
It was my first ever order and won’t arrive until today so I can’t 100% recommend them, but the site did have lots of cool dorm stuff, competitive prices on the items I checked, and great ideas for items I never would have thought to send.

I’m enjoying dormco.com. I’m sure it’s been posted before, but does anyone know if the students need a vacuum. My DS is in Lakeside West.

My understanding is that vacuums are not provided. I just happened upon a lightweight basic Bissel on an online auction site. I was surprised to win it with a very low bid.

We did receive the dormco order yesterday, and everything was as advertised. The $49 plush rug IS very, very soft. We got the chocolate brown, so it kinda looks like faux grizzly. It may not work for everyone, but it will go great with D’s kitschy decor. I would order from them again.

Before buying a vacuum (and yes, you need to buy one), you might have your student check with his/her roommates to see if someone is bringing one. My son has new suite mates this year. He’s e-mailed them to check who has what. One has the vacuum. My son has the coffee maker and toaster.

Do they really need a rug? That wasn’t on our list of things to get but now I’m wondering…

^^^

Some of the dorms (including all honors) have carpeted floors, so no need to buy a rug.

However, some dorms aren’t carpeted so kids like to put area rugs on the floor.

Ah, so since D will be in Ridgecrest West, then I don’t have to worry. Thanks M2CK!
