Running around USC?

Hi,
I was just wondering if there were any places around USC where I can run? I know the area around USC is a bit sketchy, so running through these neighborhoods would not be a good idea, but are there any routes that I can run daily? I don't want to have to take the metro or some sort of public transportation every single day just to get my run in. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Most people run on the track but if people want to run on concrete they usually run the perimeter of the campus which is approximately 2 miles: http://■■■■■■■.com/9tbssp7

Run on the track…it’s better for your knees because it’s a softer surface than concrete or asphalt.

The track sounds like the obvious answer, but diversity goes a long way towards keeping you motivated. I would love to run a variety of courses (I know they are very limited). The perimeter sounds like a good idea. Any nearby courses? Ones that I can travel to?

Get a friend with a car and go to Brentwood…there’s a great trail there.

Looks like I’m gonna have to go there and give it a go! thanks for the suggestion :)

Sometimes I’ll drive down to Southbay on the weekends too and run on the strand (boardwalk of sorts that runs the length of el segundo down to torrance on the beach). You’ll notice lots of people running there with USC clothing on as Southbay has a lot of alumns living in it.

Trust me, by your senior year you’ll be spending your Fridays
“studying” at Santa Monica beach!

Running from USC to/around the downtown area is nice, there’s some cool architecture to check out.
