i
m planning to run for a position in my school council. i
m sure most of us have seen students make campaign speeches. i will have to do one as well, like any other candidate. however, i cannot use props. i know that my only way of getting support is to use humor and make my speech funny and sarcastic. what ideas do you have in mind? or, even better, have you seen someone use them at your school?

Last year I used Bull Durham in my speech and won in a landslide. Anything from Bull Durham is gold.

napoleon dynamite?

pedro offers you his protection

Hahaha yes...write a very good speech but add some humor using something from Napoleon Dynamite

I would automatically vote for the opponent of the guy who quoted Napoleon Dynamite. That movie is OLD.

My school doesn't really make a big deal about elections (basically whoever is most popular wins) but I think you should think about WHY you're running and come up with some reasons why you'd be the best vote.

Actually, a girl from my school just ran for a posiion and used stuff from Napoleon Dynamite and won.

If you do the dance you will win.

Don't quote Napoleon Dynamite. I can't imagine that going over well.

When I ran the past year, my first line was, "Hi. My name is, what? My name is, who? My name is, chi-ki-chi-ki ______ and I'm running for Student Council President." The rest of the speech was all comedy, promising bikini models and such things. I was interrupted several times by applause.

Won by landslide btw.

chi-ki-chi-ki? that`s supposed to mean....

do you guys know any really funny jokes that are appropriate and effective for a campaign speech?
