Running out of time to make a decision

I was admitted to both Syracuse and U Mass for Mechancial Engineering. I know U Mass ranks higher in Engineering, but it ranks lower in overall school rank. Some people tell me you will be more connected when you graduate from Syracuse. Any thoughts on this? Or does it not make a difference at all really?

Don’t know much about either one. It shouldn’t matter though, as long as the engineering programs are more or less equal in prestige. It matters what you do there. Why would you be more connected with Syracuse? That sounds like BS. The prestige of the entire university does not matter much. I go to ISU, and we are better for engineering that U of Iowa, which is better overall. ISU attracts more employers though, and the employers don’t care if U of I is higher ranked.

The only important questions, imo:
Which engineering college attracts more employers? Which one has better weather? Which will give you more scholarships?
