Running over the time limit

One of my monologues is about 2 minutes and 12 seconds. I know that NYU requests a 2 min. monologue but are they really sitting there with a stopwatch? I heard that at some places, they will stop you, how about NYU?

Going off of my own audition, there was no stopwatch. She didn't seem to be timing, just writing down notes. I know that one of my mons. is only 1:15 and the other was like 2:15...so i didn't get stopped. But I do know that if they do stop you, it's not a good or bad sign. It just means they've already seen what they need to see. At alot of auditions i went to (especially unifieds) there were kids crying because they were stopped in their mons. and really that means nothing! At ccm "bubba" said that it only takes them like 15 seconds to see what they need to see. I doubt they will stop you, only because they give a lot of time for each audition, but if they do, just keep on going. : ). STOP BEING SO NERVOUS! (i can tell by your constant posting) youll be great.

oops. I guess you caught me. lol. Okay, one week until my audition. I'm getting off of this thing. Thanks!
