Running Start (Washington State) and admissions

Looking for feedback on how universities view running start for admissions. Obviously an AA degree theoretically leaves you with only two more years at a Washington state school. What is your experience? Did AA students feel they could compete for scholarships at private school admission on a level ground with typical HS grads. What is the effect of lower GPA from running start classes on admissions, scholarships? Did private or out of state schools accept your credits completely? Sorry it is a Washington state specific question, is anyone familiar with similar programs in other states where HS students take classes at community colleges for dual credit? Feel free to contribute your experiences.
