Running Start.

there have been posts on this before, but after browsing... i found nothing all that helpful?

basically, i'm a sophomore. i'm looking at schools like ucb, wesleyan, brown, and columbia. i'm wondering how out of state schools see running start?

next year, at school, i'd probably take two to three classes at the high school, and two to three at a local community college, since my area doesn't have the opportunity to take them at a university. this means my theatre class at school, honors pre-cal, and apush/honors chem/ap english lang. my two cc classes would probably be introductory classes for the first quarter, but then i would take classes in areas i'm interested in: philosophy, journalism, environmental science, biology, history.

part of me is hesitant to leave washington, since i'm so in love with this area. everything about it is perfect. the weather, the culture. i love seattle and i know i'd be happy going to udub. but part of me also wants to shoot for the stars, so to say.

another reason i want to do running start is because i despise the way high school is set up. a few community college classes, as well as a couple high school classes, seems so ideal and doesn't involve me waking up at 5:30 in the morning. i'll have room to learn and process information a lot better.

if i don't do running start, this is my planned schedule: honors chemistry, honors pre-cal, ap english lang, apush, ap gov and the theatre class. it's quite a few aps, and a pretty the most rigorous of a schedule you can take as a junior, save for people who are two years ahead in math and are taking ap calc.

senior year would be ap english lang, ap calc, ap european history, ap bio, and my theatre class. the sixth spot is undecided.

would doing running start negatively impact my chances at those schools? so far, they all have really caught my eye for various reasons. and as ideal as the running start schedule goes, i want to at least give myself the chance. admissions are competitive, i wouldn't want something like an adcom not understanding running start to be the final straw leading to my rejection from my dream school, columbia.
