Do any of you guys know of any good running trails near campus? Someone told me about running up the hills (on east side)...but that seems to take too long.

I like to actually run -on- Campus when the weather is good. Other than that, the trail life is pretty dull if you aren't looking for long/hard trails, though there are some less strenuous ones plus a track near Clark Kerr. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Well it's more of a hike, but the trail to the Big C is good for excercise cause it's steep and decently long. I doubt you're going to get much running there though.

yay! runner's thread! a berkeley alum i know says berkeley is a good place for running. lots of different trails and the like.

Go run the Firetrail... Its a very good uphill run (about 30 minutes to the top running at a moderate pace). If you follow the road behind the football stadium (going up into the hills) past the pool facility there, you will find a dirt parking lot shortly up the road. The trail begins there... enjoy.

Hmm this sounds interesting because I am a varsity cross country and track runner on my school team. Is it feasible to go on beach runs? And, since CAL is pretty close to some national forests (I think), wouldn't it be possible to go run through those beautiful wilderness areas?
