In light of Collegeboard pushing the date of notification of October scores, I have a question. The early decision deadline is November 1st and the scores would be available on November 8th. Do we have to rush the score report to Penn or can we just put Penn as one of the four recipients of the score reports? If we do the latter, would Penn accept our score reports as part of our applicaiton if it came after the Early decision November 1st deadline?

i would rush scores just in case...you can really never trust collegeboard

You don't have to rush October scores, but you do have do rush them if you take them in November.

yeah, but its collegeboard

eighteenforluck: are you sure?

I forgot to mention that I called up Penn undergraduate admiissions today and when I asked them this question the woman really did not have an answer. She recommended that I rush the scores, since even if scores come in after the deadline but they are rushed they would be considered.

If the scores are available on november 8th, when should colleges expect to recieve them without rushing the scores? Basically I'm asking how much time it takes for one of those 4 free score reports to get to colleges after scores are released.

if you want to be safe you should get an answer from admissions, but when i applied for class of 09, they told me i had to rush november but not october. i did make sure to write on my application that i had registered to take the october test, though.

i know the dates aren't exactly the same, but they're usually very close and i'd be surprised if the policies were different.

the woman who picked up when i called the admissions office said that their policy does not change due to collegeboard tests and their dates. So for some reason after calling the office I am still not sure what the answer is.

Oct 14 is the test date: you know the score in 2 weeks. Thus, it would be well before the ED deadline...unless you are saying that the oct 14 scores will not be available until nov 8th

the scores won't be available for 3 weeks now (the whole f uck up that they had last october) which means we get the scores on nov 6th

I am not so sure that colleges would recieve the score reports before the early decision deadline. I guess I am going to have to rush the scores. Wow collegeboard is a corporation. Making so much money and yet it is so inefficient.

Rush all scores so you don't worry.

yeah mahras2, thats probably everyones best bet

can you rush SAT II scores as well?

When I said SAts I meant all SATIIs and the Sat reasoning test (SATI) All the scores of the tests that you took in the past are all on one score report so that colleges see all tests.
