RUSH/PLEDGE Question

I just got accepted as a sophomore spring transfer to Cornell...Would being a sophomore new to Cornell hurt my chances in getting a bid?? Also how time consuming is the pledge process, would it affect my adjusting to Cornell's courseload/workload?? Lastly how much would dues and pledge fees be?...i remember reading a post a while back discussing some frats with really high dues...

Is it uncommon for sophomores to rush?? After seeing how my friends at other schools have grown from their experiences in their greek systems I feel as if it would be beneficial to rush/pledge to get a more well rounded college experience. (i go to a LAC now...no greek system).

rush. you'll make friends.

yeah i definitely plan on rushing...it is just a question of if i can get a bid at a house i like..and if the fees/dues aren't too restricting AND if i can handle pledging+the workload.

what houses are known to be "hard" on their pledges?

The dues and fees aren't too bad, but pleding can be very rough (or a breeze) depending on the house. You can PM me if you want specifics on certain houses, it's not right to discuss rumors and stereotypes openly.
