Sorry for the same old question guys, but I didn't get a clear answer from searching through the threads. I am taking the October SAT and applying Early Decision to Penn. I went to their website and it only said that the November SAT scores need to be rushed.. is this true or should I rush my October scores as well?

Also, if I did want to take another SAT II or something in November, how would I rush the scores? I read a description on Collegeboard and it sounded like you have to wait till your scores come online and then you can rush-send them to whatever schools you like?

You just need to rush the October scores. Be careful about the November scores though, last year when I applied to Penn, CB was really slow about rushing my scores (Penn didn't receive them on the date that was promised). I am not sure if it is connected to the slow College Board but I ended up getting deferred then accepted rd - maybe somehow caused by a late reciept of scores.

Hey, I'm still an HS student, but I talked to my guidance counselor and he says that October scores don't need to be rushed; however, it's best to put the school down at the time of registration when it brings you to that "send scores to colleges, first 4 free" page (I think you can go and add it in online before the test if you didn't put anything down during registration) so that it's sent to the school and you don't have to pay an extra fee come apps time. The person above's answer is contradictory to what my GC said but I really do think that the October SATs don't need rushing (and UPenn doesn't include anything about October) so I think it's just November. Was that just a typo dlesk??

And I believe that you can apply for rush-reporting before you take the actual test, check out the instructions under the "order online" part:

^ send available scores seems to suggest that you can only rush report your scores after you receive them. not before you do your test. but rushing like that just doesnt make much sense to me. they have to send you the results first. you process it and decide to rush(something most people decide long before the take the test). you send them the stuff. they receive it. they send out scores. it just seems like there are too many potential delays.
