I took the October SAT and denoted that Fordham was an early action school and the scores needed to be there. However, the request didn't go through and now I'm stuck. Does Fordham have a policy against rush report SAT scores? Since the website says nothing against it, do I assume that it's okay?

Hmmm. Not sure I comprehend your panic. You may want to call admissions tomorrow and see if they have your scores and when is the latest they need to receive them for your consideration in EA. Fordham does not release EA decisions until Christmas and the October scores should be released by College Board very soon if not already.

But I dont think Fordham cares about "rush scores" or "regular scores". Its the scores they want, not the method in getting them, unless of course the deadline is approaching.

If the remainder of your EA application is timely and completed, I wouldnt worry about it. But call if you think its an issue.

Our D had the same "panic". Just got her Oct. results and wanted FU to have them with her early app. Initially, I made the same assumption that as long as the reports were sent, they (FU) would see them in time for a decision. Just be be sure had D call Admis. and they informed her "everything must be postmarked by Oct. 31". She then called College Board and ordered the results to be rushed ... $27 bucks more 2-3 biz days turnaround.

I'd call the adm office just to clarify, but if an extra $27 isn't a hardship, it may give you a little peace of mind. If you do this early next week, you'll be on time.

Good luck!

Thanks so much! I just know that some schools (i.e. Columbia) explicitly state that they do not want rush reports at all and I wasn't sure that they were acceptable for Fordham. I guess they are, so I'll have them rushed today (I have to reorder as my initial request never went through).
