Rushed Scores?

Does anyone actually know how the rushed score thing works? I took the SAT's in October and sent the scores to four schools free. On the sent thing, it said they were sent by Novemember 1st. I didn't pay any rush fee or anything.

Now, I'm applying to a couple schools, some with a deadline of January 1st. On the Collegeboard site it says we'll send 3 to 5 weeks later. I was wondering if that meant 3 to 5 weeks from when you first took the test, or when you file the request. I kinda want to assume they send scores out on the first of each month. Can anyone confirm this or should I rush my scores to be safe....

Some schools have application deadlines of January 1st, but the SAT scores can come in later. Call them and ask. Of the schools I asked, none required rush reports, but all accepted rush reports (there is a difference).

Don't do it, it won't help and it's a waste of money - that's what both my college counselors say.
