It was December 28 when I remembered to send my SAT scores. After I saw the deadline, I panicked. To get the scores to NYU before the deadline, I rushed my scores to NYU. Was this idiotic and was it a waste of $27.

Sorry if this isnt any help. (i applied to nyu as well. sent the sats to both boston college and nyu on jan 1st -_-eek) but when i asked boston college they said it was fine. i dont know whether it was a waste. but unless nyu specifically states “we dont accepted rush scores” i think rushing them is safer and will allow the school to gather all ur info faster

I sent my December scores out around that same date, but didn’t rush them. I didn’t think it was worth it nor needed.

Also, my guidance counslor called them yesterday to ask if they would consider scores for the January SAT - they said YES (these scores should probably be rushed though). I was also told this during an Open House this past fall.

rmmutt: how do you rush january scores? i know u can send them directly or before the wednesday right after the test date but you cant see the score and this isnt rushed… how do u rush?

I’ve never done it before and did not know that you can send scores out the day before they’re reported to you.

I’m assuming you just choose the option to rush them after they’re reported to you. I’ll have to look into it myself.

well, i know the fastest way i can send colleges the score is if i send score reports to colleges between the days i register for a test and 4 days after i take the test… usually, up to 4 of the score reports are free.
this i think is faster (i dont know to be honest) but you dont get to see the score ur sending until a few weeks after when the test results come out.
if i rush january scores… it means ive got to rush em after i see the scores… which means i have to wait till mid february when i see the results and im worried that will be too late…
does anyone know what is the fastest way to get scores to colleges?
- send score reports as u register for the test (u dont get to see the results tho)
OR - wait till results come out and then rush score them
