I’m thinking of rushing next fall when I transfer, but I’m worried about how much time it will take up/effect my gpa. I’m also a bit older than most junior transfers so I’m not sure how that would look either. Is anyone else interested in rushing? Pros & cons?
@kumiii Well, here’s how I see rushing as a transfer. By circumstance of our educational goals, and how we’re expected to graduate in two years, that doesn’t leave you with much time to find a Frat/Sorority to rush. However, you must also focus on academics, which–if you’re pledging to a social fraternity–rushing will definitely negatively affect.
I would consider it over the course of the next few months, and use the Fall quarter to test the waters of how you’re doing on the quarter system. If you do well, and think you can handle rushing, then do it in Spring.
