Rushing my Score Report

I just sent my score report, and I chose the rush shipment option and it says that it will be sent within the next two business days.

Will it arrive in time? I really really really hope so, because I know that EAing at Michigan really increases your chances, and I really love Michigan ):

“Your SAT/ACT test scores must be sent directly from the testing agency and received in our office by our deadline. Please plan ahead —rush paper scores are not accepted.”

Not sure how rush works, if you sent rush-online instead of rush-paper? But it should get there in time nonetheless.

Yeah I saw that too :/

I really hope it gets there in time. Thank you!

Well it’s out of your hands now! It wouldn’t hurt to email the admissions office explaining your love of UMICH and asking about the rush scores also. Good luck, hope for the best :)

I think UMich does not accept rush score.

Will they just straight out not read my application then? I know that if I don’t qualify for EA, they automatically push me into rolling RD, but since I rushed my score, will they not accept my scores?

Just checked. They do not accept rush PAPER score but they do accept rush electronic scores.

Okay if billcsho is right and you sent it rush-electronic then you’ll probably still be fine for the EA deadline. Make sure your Common App and Supplements are submitted prior to Nov 1st.

From UMICH:

Does the U-M accept rush test scores?

We do not accept rushed SAT or ACT paper scores or test results.

However, we will accept rushed electronic SAT or ACT test results submitted directly to our office. SAT offers a RUSH electronic mailing option, and ACT offers a priority (electronic) mailing option.

Is there a way to know if I submitted my scores rush electronically or rush paper? I’m sorry, this is my first time applying to a college and I keep on asking all these stupid questions ):

I’m just really worried right now!

Go to actstudent.org, login, click Your Test Dates And Scores on left hand column. Click view order history. Click on the transaction numbers and find the UMICH one and see what it says.

And that’s what a forum is for! To answer any and all questions. I guarantee you it is normal to be concerned about your future! Not stupid at all :)

I didnt take the ACT though, only the SAT

I believe both the ACT and SAT rush their scores electronically to colleges who accept electronic scores. Neither will send paper unless that’s what the college specifically requires. If you chose “Rush Shipping” to send your SAT scores they should be sent automatically as electronic. Check your email for the confirmation email to see if that has any additional info.

I checked my confirmation email, but there was nothing there about paper vs. electronically.

Thank you guys SO MUCH for your help, I really do appreciate it. I’m just going to talk to my counselor tomorrow and call Michigan to clear things up.

That’s probably the two best things you could do  Good luck on your app!

thank you so much (:
