Rushing NOV5 SAT II Scores

Guys if You took the Nov5 SAT Subject Test, are you suppose to ru**** for Cornell ED?

I am amused that the censor blocked out your typo of "rush it." Appropriately so.

This question has been answered so many times, I think I have a headache. No no no, and no.

Well, everyone keeps saying no, but I just got an email back from the engineering admissions department with 3 words in it (well, 5 if you count the "Best regards"):

"Definitely rush them."

I'm just glad I decided to email rather than just go with the consensus on here...

how do you rush scores?

You have to do it from collegeboard.com...go to send scores and then click the box for rush-processing (costs an extra $26 I believe).

well...i have chosen cornell as one of my recipients before taking the test...now how do i rush my scores???

On the 21st, when you get your scores, go to the CB's site and "send scores to colleges." You'll see the option to rush them...

live-, who answered your email? I've called the admissions office 3 times with that question (I kept second guessing myself) and all 3 times, they told me to not rush.

Interesting - maybe it comes from a misunderstanding on the admissions staff part? An inexperienced person might get that question, look at the deadlines, and be like "Rush it, duh."

I'm not sure who it was...I emailed engr_admissions@cornell.edu, they replied with asking:

"Hi,

Would you recommend rushing my November SAT II scores on the 21st right when I get them, or to just stick with the regular free score report?

Thanks."

The reply:

"Dear <my_name>,</my_name>

Definitely rush them.

Best Regards,
Engineering Admissions"

Oh well...I still have the free score report that I signed up for when I registered, so rushing them can't hurt...

to tell u the truth, no one knows. admissions claims that scores should be rushed such as CALS, and then some admissions claim that it doesn't such as Engineer. The regular undergraduate admissions appears to side on both ends. so if thats the case, i would rush scores just to be safe. although yes, its not gonna be sent in electronically, its better that they get the scores and then make decisions. scores sent regular may be sent as late as Dec. 7-12. And by then, that may be too late.

Whats the problem with rushing scores??? Just pay an extra $26 and get it over with.

I was under the impression that they didn't want a hardcopy. Aren't they swamped with papers at this time? lol I guess I'll call again today... when their office opens.
