Hey all, I've got a question regarding rushing scores. I am a transfer student and my application deadline is the upcoming March 15th. I assumed sending SAT scores were just like send out transcrpits in that you request them sent out and within a week they would arrive at the intended schools. So, last night I intended to send them out and found out that it takes 3 - 5 weeks to send scores out!! I had no other choice but to rush the scores in order to get them there before march 15th, which is exactly what I did. Is there any problem in doing this? I know it says you should contact the schools first, but if you think about it I really did not have any other options. I need these scores there before March 15th.

Most schools accept the electronic copy of the SAT scores. The rush format is a little different from the regular format of the score report; that is why you need to check with the school. Just call the school and double check if they will accept them. Some colleges/universities also accept an official copy of the scores from the High School if it is part of the school transcript and it is mailed directly from the HS

We were in similar situation last week, except my D was requesting the rush scores the night before the application deadline. The school had no problem accepting the rush scores, but it takes 2-3 days for the rush scores to get to the school.

Sorry. I just noticed your are transfering and not applying as a freshman.
