Rushing sororities as a sophomore

What's sorority rush like for sophomores? I didn't rush this year (I'm a freshman), but I think I want to next year. Would it be worth it? Do sororities take sophomores as new members? I have some acquaintances in sororities, but not close friends. Would my options be limited just because I'm a sophomore? Would it weird to be in a pledge class with freshman and thus have mostly freshman friends?
If anyone who rushed as a sophomore at Michigan is reading this, please respond!

I’m currently in a house, but just a freshman. Being a soph lessens your chances so get letters of rec from anyone you know, on the other hand you can totally still be happy on bid day. I can tell you which ones I know have taken sophomores in the more recent years but it’s all up in the air because of who you are and what houses are looking for!

Skrappa (known for taking a handful EVERY year), ZTA (known for taking a few usually), DPhiE (but not in PC 11 or 12), AGD, AEPhi. I’m almost positive there are a few other houses that take sophomores but I only wanted to tell you the ones I knew for sure! I’ve heard being in a PC that has younger girls is awkward, but joining a house where sophomores are more common makes it A LOT easier.

I’ve gotten a lot out of my Greek Life experience and actually couldn’t be happier, but it’s different for everyone. I hope in the end you find a niche that works for you, good luck!
