So just how impressive is it to be accepted here? I can't decide if I should accept or not. Any thoughts?

Engineering is quite strong at Ohio University with great placement once student's graduate. Don't be fooled - the classes are quite tough and the admitted student profile is great as well. You should be pleased you were accepted into the Engineering School at Ohio University. It's one of the more selective programs there.

GPA: 3.6
ACT: 26

There is a lot of opportunity at the university and the facilities are great. Most of the Engineering buildings are near or on West Green. Congratulations!

umm here is another one of those "how prestigious is it" things... Russ is a relatively new program so naturally it isnt top ranked or anything but that doesnt matter. All of the engineering programs that are accredited by that engineering society or whatever are basically close to the same. Differences can be found in research opp's and russ is a smaller school which gives you a good chance of working with a prof on research. What sets Russ apart is the Ohio Univ. environment, it is a lot more laid-back than most of the top engineering schools and the male to female ratio is close to 1:1.
