Russian at Cornell

Hey everyone,

I was recently accepted to CAS. I want to double major in Chemistry and Russian. I know that Cornell's Chemistry department is quite strong, but I don't know too much about the Russian department. Could anyone give me some information or personal experiences with the department? Thanks!

a good place to start if you haven’t :)

haha, thanks. I was already there, but its kind of hard to get a feel about this from a website, though it does seem promising. I am hoping when I visit next week I can meet with someone from the Russian department.

I’m a native speaker, feel free to PM me if you’d like to practice Russian when/if you decide take it.

Thanks, that would be very nice and helpful. I just learned that it is not possible to major in Russian at Cornell and that there is not an actual Russian department, but it is part of the European Studies department. This is pretty disappointing, but I still think I will end up at Cornell.
