Um, no, I’m not really into football:) but I was in the metro trying not to be squashed by the overenthusiastic fans.

Oh and congrats on Colgate! Awesome news about FA!

Haha, thanks. Well I don’t have any clue about admissions anymore… I got ivy-rejected (8/8), but waitlisted at Stanford. How does that happen? Same goes to waitlisted at Amherst and Williams, and rejected at Middlebury. Did everyone get final results?

Yeah…I got rejeceted at Dratmouth, and waitlisted for Penn, Brown and Columbia. I mean I got waitlisted by COLUMBIA!!! I view this as an accomplishment, seriously. I’ll try to get off the waitlist, but finaid…uh…

Btw fellow rejects and waitlistees, and article came out today in the NY times, it explains a lot interms of correlation between your need and reject/waitlist status.

Oh, go figure! Rejected from Yale, Princeton, Brown, Dartmouth and wailisted at Harvard! What did they see in me what the others did not? Who knows

Any ideas of where are you going?

Wow, guys, just wow… This waitlist business bemuses me.

Well so far for me it is Northwestern, Vanderbilt, Emory, Colgate (38k/year grant), and Carleton (just got in the mail). Carleton gave me 40k a year grant/scholarship, named me an Kellogg International Scholar, and described the award as a scholarship to someone who tries to bring progress to his country and all that. I guess some of my leadership positions over here helped… I think I am going to be sending my deposit to Carleton, and waiting on Stanford, Amherst, and Williams waitlist decisions.

Nice!!! It’s a great school, I looked it up
I am thinking about Wellesley, University of Richmond (I got Oldham scholarship which comes with nice stuff :), Mount Holyoke (21 century scholar), Hamilton (?)… W&L is out of the picture.
This is such a hard choice!

Easy if I were you. Hamilton.

That golf course is awesome. Believe me.

Alone, I’m waitlisted at Carleton:) I think I’ll put a deposit at Smith (but it’s not final) and fight for Columbia. Seriously, I know there’s little chance, but the chance to actually make it to the waitlist was even slimmer. It’s just that it has such a HUGE human rights department it makes me drool…

Those are all great schools, so you can’t go wrong either way. The minor issue for me would be the uni-sex characteristic. I can’t imagine myself at all-boys school, that would be boooooring… But well, that’s me :)

I hate golf. What else is good at Hamilton? :)

You can also enjoy Tennis, Swimming & Diving and Ice hockey - all the sports popular in Russia. You can join the Association Of Women In Economics And Government, Ballroom Dancing Club, Hamilton Fishing Club, Martial Arts Club, Hamilton Juggling Club, Dexter (a magazine club), Anime Club and the Rainbow Alliance (a mafia :D), Nordic Ski Team just to name a few. You may also discover asteriods in the Litchfield Observatory, be a part of the largest swimmjing relays of the world in Bristol Swimming Pool or try the 10 Court Squash Center (opened in 2006). Hamilton also offers an amazing view of Clinton, NY since it is on top of a hill. It is, without a shadow of doubt, a college the calibre of Harvard.

P.s. I am not Hamilton’s internet publicist ;)

She is not Russian!!! :P

My bad. I thought she was a Russian expat in USA :)

Haha, diving IS oppular in Russia. Diving into ice holes:D

Nice
How about Tennis? You girls all seem to make great - and shall I say attractive? - tennis superstars. Must be a popular pastime, this too.

"She is not Russian!!! "

Lol, I am Russian inside (в глубине души)

Yeah well…I used to play tennis. But unfortunately I’m shortsighted and sometimes I saw the ball when it was too late…oh well, you can’t be good at everything:D

hahaha
