I have gotten my decision for a few months now, how every I am a transfer student… Not sure if than makes a difference. Anyways, I hope you guys get it soon
Hi everyone! Im having doubts that I will get accepted into the Rutgers school of Engineering. My SAT/ACT score is embarrassingly low. Here’s a little about me:
GPA: 4.17 weighted
Rank: 8/191
SAT/ ACT score: 1510, 21 (sent the 21 because it had the higher Math score)
Transcript: A’s and A pluses from freshman to senior year, with the math classes being my strongest. My school does not other AP or IB so I took honors which is the highest level they offer.
In school activities: National Honor Society, Yearbook, Peer Mentoring, Key Club, Spanish Cultural Club
Extracurriculars: Dance Lessons, Piano lessons (since I was 5)
Volunteer: Therapeutic horse riding center, Ushering at theaters, also do stuff with NHS and key club
Work as a lifeguard
I also take college courses at my community college after school for credits.
The reason for my low scores could be because my parents are from a different country, I wasn’t really immersed into that american culture. I’m also a big perfectionist so i take my time with everything I do and ended up not finishing a lot of the test. So i’m hoping my transcript and GPA will compensate.
I applied regular decision.
Do you think i will get in or have a good chance?
