I applied over a month ago to SEBS and SAS ( both in new brunswick) and Rutgers still has not given me a decision. A lot of people i know with similar stats who applied after me have already been accepted.
I have a 3.35 GPA and 1920 SAT.
Why is the decision taking so long? Is it because Rutgers wants me to update my SRAR with first marking period of senior year? Any suggestions?

Do you have any planned test dates on the application? IT could be your low GPA or something else so they are waiting before the make a decision. Your SAT is good.

@ArchLiving Thanks for the Reply! No i do not have any planned test dates. Im really starting to worry now especially because so many people with stats lower than mine who applied after me have gotten in already , maybe I should call admissions or have my guidance counselor call?

Or maybe i should update my SRAR with first marking period grades? im not sure if i should, I have all Bs and a C (calculus)

imo your stats are fine. The admissions dept is just crazy right now.

@rualum Thanks for the reply! I can understand they are busy, i’ m just really worried because I applied a month before the people i know being accepted and they have lower and equal stats. And Rutgers is my number 1 choice, its stressing me out :/

You are not alone! I got a 1700 on my SATS although my math score was really low but I have over a 4.0 GPA and I haven’t heard anything back! They are updating the Your Status page on Dec. 3rd though so maybe we’ll hear something back then! Rutgers is my #1 choice too!

@euphorie thanks for your reply!
Hopefully we both hear back soon! its just so hard constantly checking the status page and seeing the “in process”, especially when its ur number 1 school.
What schools did u apply to?

Dude calm down and take a deep breath, with those stats ur definitely in. Even though ur gpa is kinda low I’m pretty sure u will get in. I know ppl with lower stats that got in to SAS. But I doubt u will get a scholarship

Eagersenior, you should be fine. My son had lower stats last year and he got into SAS and RBS.

I only applied to SAS in NB, but I am starting to regret that because if I had applied to Sas in Newark, I may have heard something back already!

can anyone tell me my chances of getting accepted in to rutgers nb, newark school of arts and sciences and sebs. Applying with a 3.46 gpa and 24 credits from community college. i slacked off in hs and ended with a 2.2 gpa. took the sats and got a 1300 not planning on sending them my sat scores. im also majoring in biology. what are my chances?
