Rutgers Business School vs. Fordham (Gabelli)

Hi,

I have just been accepted Rutgers Business School New Brunswick and applied to Gabelli School of Business as well for EA. I plan on majoring in finance. Working on Wall Street is my ultimate goal so I was wondering which of the two schools would be a better option for job placement, internships, networking, etc. Granted I get into Fordham in the first place. Tuition is not as issue at either school and doesn't really sway my decision.

Thank You

The location of Fordham will probably make it easier to grab internships set in New York. From a purely-business standpoint I’d imagine Fordham would be better.

Fordham’s business school is better imo

Fordham has the stronger student body and a more prime location for networking and intern opps.

Fordham is better.

yea but does the fact that Gabelli recently established itself have any affect?

Oh and i would really appreciate it if anyone who attends/attended Fordham/Gabelli can share their experiences
Thank you!

Whichever one is less expensive for you

My S had a great experience at Fordham - Gabelli and I would definitely recommend it.

That said, I would take a hard look at the differences between the schools and determine which is the best fit for you. Differences include size (mid size v large), location (Bronx v NJ), type of institution (Jesuit v public), core curriculum (I don’t know anything about Rutgers but Fordham has a large liberal arts core), and anything else you care about (ex. Rutgers has bigger time sports, Fordham is better located for internships…). Visit the schools and see where you feel most comfortable.
