Hi everyone, I will be an entering sophomore in the Fall of 2016 to the Rutgers Business School in New Brunswick. I was just curious how difficult the courses are in a broad general sense. I understand all professors and classes are different but I just wanted to know the level of it is overall. Should I expect to study and get As or is it a school where despite how much I study I will never be guranteed that A. I am currently doing very well in both the semesters I have spent at a private university here in NJ and I just hope I’m not making a mistake transferring into a school where I will not be doing as well.
Not related to your question but how was transferring to RBS? I got rejected a couple months ago for freshman year and now, I’m hearing different stories about RBS being difficult to transfer into. I want to try to transfer in as a sophomore too but from community college.
I was rejected as a senior in high school! I got in with my first semester grades from college with a 3.8 GPA. You need to have completed at least 2 of the 6 pre-req classes as well (I have Calc 1, intro to accounting, macro, and comp apps completed). Other than that, I have read it is easier to get in as a transfer because they do not look at your SAT scores. Good luck!!
Oh, damn thanks. My SAT score was my only saving grace since my high school GPA kinda sucks. Looks like I’ll have to grind out CC. Do you know if AP Calc would work instead of Calc 1? I got a 3 on the exam last year and I’m looking to retake it for a 5 this year.
Rutgers takes 4 or a 5 for AP credit so as long as your retake it and get 4+ you’ll be fine. If not, definitely take calc 1 at CC because I’ve heard its difficult at Rutgers!!

Well, in general I think that transferring will make admissions to any college that accepts transfers an easier process. Given that your gpa is good. So to a swear your question, I think that if I had applied without transfer credits, it would have been very hard, if not impossible for me to be admitted. I applied February 1st and got a reply last week. good luck.
