I plan to study Engineering there, then transfer Rutgers after two years. I'm not sure which branch of Engineering though, either Civil or Electrical. The Math department would concern me, as that is my strongest academic subject, but I will find out in the fall.

What is your thoughts on the students there? I know a ton of people from my school going there because they didn't try and just are going there because they think they have to (Like my twin brother). I'd just hate to have to deal with all those people again >.<

Fabled,
I’m in the STARS program for now as well! The major is engineering science at CC but I want to do Electrical engineering at rutgers.
Half the classes I’m taking don’t even transfer, according to njtransfer, so I’m hearing I have to take an extra year at rutgers. Is this similar for you?

I will be at Brookdale next year for the STARS program, but that is weird that only half of those classes will transfer. How is the Engineering program at Brookdale?

Ah, I thought you meant your were at Brookdale too. Can the Dual Degree program that Rutgers has work with STARS? Because I read that Rutgers will communicate with you more and you are guarenteed a spot in atleast one college at Rutgers after 2 years at a CC.

there are a lot of students there who just dont care but they arent taking high level classes. i mean if you’re in NJ Stars, you’re obviously just as smart as the Rutgers kids.

once you get out of the basic classes, you’ll be with kids/adults who actually care.

although if you want an easy A, take history there. they transfer to rutgers and its a hell of a lot easier that the AP history i took in high school…

also to see what transfers to rutgers use NJtransfer.org

Could you ask Rutgers to allow you into their Dual Degree program, or would they have to choose you if you weren’t accepted? Because I want to go to Rutgers after two years at a CC.
