@Ceciliaagnes no, award amounts are expected to come out tonight (AHHH HYPE!).
On the required documents site, it says, “Loans will credit to your account after we receive your Entrance Counseling and all required documents have been processed.”
I’m guessing you’ll only have to do them if you want to accept the awards/loan offers.
If you applied to Rutgers and filed the 2017-18 FAFSA, you will soon receive an email from our office directing you to view your online Award Letter. All awards are estimates and are based on the information you provided on the FAFSA.
If you did not receive an email from our office, your award is not yet ready. Check your email regularly for notification.
Waiting to hear from others, but my speculation is: They have opened the portal and are now populating the need based financial aid and related data. Possibly overnight per Go Rutgers. We know that some, or maybe all scholarships, were previously populate before they shut down the portal. That data is already there so as soon as the portal opened, they are visible. The merit scholarships were initially planned for mid-Jan, but at some point they realized that, due to the new earlier FAFSA, they could issue one letter instead of two. In theory this would be good and result in less follow-up calls to Admissions.
Are you guys able to log in? When I type in my RUID, birthday, and the last 4 digits of my RUID (because I didn’t file FAFSA so it says to do that instead of SSN) it says that the supplied credentials are incorrect, please try again
@grtd2010, I was invited to Honors College, so that’s not it as mine is not up. And @njmom224, I had scholarships when they were mistakenly released, so that’s not it either. Sigh.
If you click on the little question mark next to last 4 digifts of SSN it says “Not a FAFSA filer? Use the last 4 digits of your RUID instead” though. I tried with both the last four digits of my social also and the last four of my RUID and nothing worked. Does anyone else have this problem? Can it be that i havent recieved an email?
