Rutgers C/O 2021 Admissions/Discussion

@Ceciliaagnes no, award amounts are expected to come out tonight (AHHH HYPE!).

On the required documents site, it says, “Loans will credit to your account after we receive your Entrance Counseling and all required documents have been processed.”
I’m guessing you’ll only have to do them if you want to accept the awards/loan offers.

DD got presidential scholarship with Honors College for SEBS, SAS and Engineering.

@grtd2010 is it letting you see the awards amount? Mine keeps giving me the same message about not being in the database

@grtd2010 which portal?

My school drop down menu only shows SAS, I was accepted to SOE and SAS. And it also says something about me not being in the database.

ours still show “not in database” grrrrrrr

Same award letter for SEBS, SAS and Engineering. May be these are out for Honors College invitees only. Did not file FAFSA.

I see this posted on a FA page:

If you applied to Rutgers and filed the 2017-18 FAFSA, you will soon receive an email from our office directing you to view your online Award Letter. All awards are estimates and are based on the information you provided on the FAFSA.

If you did not receive an email from our office, your award is not yet ready. Check your email regularly for notification.

This is torturous :(( :(( :((

Apparently you need to receive an email first before being able to see your scholarships

No email was received. Just checked it on portal for award letter. FAFSA is NOT required for merit scholarship. FAFSA was not filed.

Waiting to hear from others, but my speculation is: They have opened the portal and are now populating the need based financial aid and related data. Possibly overnight per Go Rutgers. We know that some, or maybe all scholarships, were previously populate before they shut down the portal. That data is already there so as soon as the portal opened, they are visible. The merit scholarships were initially planned for mid-Jan, but at some point they realized that, due to the new earlier FAFSA, they could issue one letter instead of two. In theory this would be good and result in less follow-up calls to Admissions.

Are you guys able to log in? When I type in my RUID, birthday, and the last 4 digits of my RUID (because I didn’t file FAFSA so it says to do that instead of SSN) it says that the supplied credentials are incorrect, please try again

@grtd2010, I was invited to Honors College, so that’s not it as mine is not up. And @njmom224, I had scholarships when they were mistakenly released, so that’s not it either. Sigh.

donot use last 4 digits of RUID

@Ceciliaagnes I am officially baffled. Maybe the load is running alphabetically, by RUid, by SSN?

If you click on the little question mark next to last 4 digifts of SSN it says “Not a FAFSA filer? Use the last 4 digits of your RUID instead” though. I tried with both the last four digits of my social also and the last four of my RUID and nothing worked. Does anyone else have this problem? Can it be that i havent recieved an email?

Three award letters printed out today for SEBS, SAS and Engineering. Identical in award amount. Got Honors College invitation from these three.
