I would say your chances of being admitted are excellent. Understand, however that for admission, your EC are not considered, only GPA & standardized tests.

You do need to take the SAT, as that’s what used for Presidential Scholarships, not ACT. They say the min to be considered is 2250, however a few years ago a kid with 2150-2200 posted here that he/she was awarded it. THere’s no way to verify that.

For the Presidential and other Scholarships, you need to apply by November 1.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but when I go onto the Rutgers website, and see the criteria for the Presidential scholarship, it says “Competitive academic credentials, minimum 2250 combined SAT or an ACT score of 35 and an A grade-point average to compete” are needed. So they do accept the ACT for it, or did it just change this year or something? Thank you!

I think the minimums depend on the school and the pool of applicants for that year. I also think that they may go by M and CR more so than M/CR/W.

So it will vary by a bit each year. No one can guarantee you exact numbers.
