I hope your SAT score is the math and critical reading combined. If not...yikes!

Tips:
* Bring your SAT score to at least an 1100 (M + CR) or at least a 1700 (M, CR, WR)
* Apply by the priority deadline (so by December 1)

If applying to the School of Arts and Science, then you have a chance

yes it is math and critical reading.....terrible i know. didnt have a good sleep the night before.

It's not a terrible SAT score, but it could be better.

I mean, there are some kids who have been admitted to Rutgers with an SAT score (m + cr) like yours. It would help to bring it up to boost your chances though :)

thanks that made me feel better

so would i have a good shot with my current stnading?

The fact that you have a pretty good GPA and so, I say you have a good chance. SAT score could be a bit better just to be on the safe side.

Yet again, I'm merely a high school senior -- not part of the admissions committee, so I can't tell you "no" nor tell you "definitely!" :)

In terms of SAT, what is the breakdown (the individual scores for math and critical reading)???

math - 520
reading - 500

just in case this matters writing - 480 (disgraceful)

overal 1500

Yeah, I would definitely work on the SATs.

According to college board:
The middle 50% of students had a critical reading **score in the range **530-630
The middle 50% of students had a math score in the range 560-670
For writing...530-640.

Perhaps try to hit on or between the ranges of those scores...it's possible to do so. Heck, I was able to bring up my critical reading score from a 480 to a 530. Just take the test again and do a bit more of studying :)
