does anyone know how rutgers does it admissions…i know its rolling but kids who applied after me to the same schools got in before me. Im still waiting

Everyone whos has amazing stats gets in now. If you are more of an average student, you will have to wait longer. Like late Dec/Jan. You’ll know before the end of Jan. Good Luck.

Thank you for the straight up answer! It was needed!

So the average applications are essentially pushed back and not looked at until after all the “stellar” applications

^ Which isn’t fair because some of us submitted them very early and before others.

RU is a school that bases admission on GPA/Rank+Test Scores so those that have stellar statistics will be notified first no matter how early you applied.

If you have average statistics, it’ll take longer since they wait for a lot more average stat applications so they can compare all average apps to look for the top dogs to let in.

I think you have a great chance for SAS and Business. 1780 is a great score, GPA is a bit above average and the classes look good. Engineering is pretty tough, but its a reach

applied SAS in September - sat 1200/1600 1740/2400 GPA 3.18

waiting patiently to hear - no news is good - must be in the “Hold” pile -
status shows: in process Have they sent out denied???

Please expand on “no news is good” and “hold pile”, I’m in a similar situation

re: my comment…no news is good news —I have not been in the definitely denied pile. I’m not sure if Rutgers has sent out notices of denial. I have only heard of happy students being accepted. Have they notified any denied applicants? Has anyone heard of applicants being rejected??? I think there is a “hold pile” which are applicants still being considered (average students). My status is still “in process”.

I’m freaking out now. Haven’t been denied - still in process
1600 SAT; 1030/1600

LOAAAADS over extra curricular activities.

still waiting with a 2070 SAT, 4.4 GPA and average EC for the business school. My stats aren’t amazing but they are above average. If the theory that people with higher stats are accepted quicker is true, then why am i still waiting? lol :(

Hey guys!
Last week, I received a letter in the mail from Rutgers congratulating me on my admittance to the Honors Program. Since then, I have received no concurrent email, and my Rutgers Status has not been updated to include anything about the honors program. Are any of you in the same boat?
