@spqr70nj We’re on the UB forum together as well. His stats GPA 18.5/20 (international), SAT 1240. Do you think Rutgers has a better program than UB? Good Luck!
Honestly @thessaly1 I think both programs are about the same. Certainly ranked close. I feel Rutgers thinks they’re all that after this process has been drawn out. I’ve encouraged my son to take a campus visit to UB. He would enjoy it there. For us Rutgers is literally 20 mins away and I would want him on campus for the overall experience. Otherwise he’d be better OOS.
I got accepted into both the school of arts and sciences and the school of environmental and biological sciences. My stats are as below:
In state
EA
3.65/5 weighted GPA
3.1/4 unweighted gpa
1380 SAT
30 composite ACT
32 superscore act
Hey guys!
So Rutgers released some decisions yesterday and I finally got accepted into RBS! I hope everyone else found out as well and wish them the best of luck if they haven’t already!
All early action (and some regular) decisions should be out very soon (31st Jan) so dont stress!
Congratulations to those who got accepted . Please join the Accepted Student Forum -
Rutgers (New Brunswick) Class of 2023 (Accepted Students) on the main page.
My daughter also got accepted to the school of arts and sciences yesterday. Has anyone been accepted to the Honors College?
Honors college decisions will be out in Feb mid only
i still havent gotten decisions from rbs lol
been waiting since october
I think it’s ridiculous…daughter has been waiting since the end of Sept.
@4boundforcollege I agree! It’s more than ridiculous, it’s a word that I cannot restate without fearing being banned. Lol
For those that received decisions the last few days, any specific time do you recall them being released or was it typically in the evening after 10pm? Still two schools ‘In Progress’. SMH
Just a few more days, everyone! This last week is the worst. I applied to 5 different universities and Rutgers is the ONLY school I haven’t heard anything back from, and they’re my first choice, which is making it an even more painful wait! My fingers are crossed for everyone. Just curious, has anyone been waitlisted or denied yet?
@spqr70nj My status changed at around 9 pm Pacific time (I live in California).
@spqr70nj my son’s acceptance came 4pm Greek time, so 9am EST. I’m sorry your son is still waiting. I’m sure he’ll get in. Aren’t his stats about the same as my son’s? Yeah, being 20 min away from home might not be too exciting. Over the summer we visited so many campuses…including Rutgers…and he liked Buffalo the best. We live in a city here in Greece and most the towns we visited were ‘college towns’ and felt too small. Even though Buffalo is a state U the campus seemed very manageable. I’m not sure why he wants to deal with that cold though. I liked VT a lot too…beautiful area, but hard to fly in and out of and super small town. I know you are waiting to hear from them as well. Let me know how your UB visit goes. I wish we could visit again during the school year.
I applied by November first and was accepted, when do i find out my financial aid package??
@gherbss Financial Aid letters go out in mid-February.
will i get good financial aid since i am out of state?
@gherbss I have no idea how generous Rutgers is with financial aid. We’re instate and I am not going to expect much. They do have merit based scholarships that are given to first year but certain they will be tied to academic performance.
Heard more and more Rutgers is not much generous in aid packages >:P Fingers crossed
@Beat19 Have you heard back for nursing yet? I haven’t and im in state as well
