Rutgers class of 2024 admissions decisions only!

I applied EA to NB but it still says “In Progress” :frowning: seems like everyone who applied EA got a decision

I got into Rutgers School of Engineering and School of Arts and Sciences with a 1360 SAT score and 4.32 Unweighted GPA. I honestly thought my SAT score was a bit low but I’m pretty sure your essay and EC’s carry more!

I got accepted into the EMSOP (in-state Indian female)

Here are my stats:
1550 SAT
4.31 Weighted; 4.0 Unweighted
800 SAT Chemistry
780 SAT Math II

Congrats to everyone else who got in!

When is gonna be next wave ??

@2002kk probably mid january. however, according to last year’s thread, several people have gotten their decisions a day or two after the initial wave. i am still waiting for my result too so i’m hoping i’ll get lucky and get it tonight. waiting makes me anxious lol

@gomezan20.
Hopefully. Finger cross

Most kids who already got into New Brunswick in the first wave have the higher end of the stats compared to all the other applicants. Rutgers is purposefully selecting those higher end applicants first because they want them to attend their school, but most likely most of the higher end applicants consider Rutgers as a safety, thus they will end up declining the offer. So for the 2nd wave of decisions for Early Action coming out mid-Jan, Rutgers will be looking at the Regular Applicant pool and comparing that to the rest of the early action applicant pool. If the Regular Applicant pool is strong, most likely some of the Early Action applicants will get rejected or deferred.

@weluvanxiety my daughters SAT score is below the 25th percentile for the school- and far lower than many posted in this thread, and she was still accepted yesterday. I’m not sure how they choose the waves, but I don’t think it’s that straightforward.

what was her gpa? also are you out of state?

I know kids that live in New Jersey with 4.2’s and 1400-1600s on their SAT’s that are still processing. However, with that said Rutgers has a filtration system. I think what Rutgers does is the SRAR takes the kids above the GPA cap and admits while the kids right below they move on to the next step of checking SAT scores. From there they check EC’s and the Essay. Just a thought.

Probably. I just had a theory regarding their wave system. I haven’t heard back either from Rutgers NB SAS and my stats are good. I know people who submitted on the same day as me, and they have worse stats than me but they have already heard back from Rutgers NB. I don’t know what’s going on.

@prayforme786 her GPA is an unweighted 4.0. We homeschool now, but two years of her transcript were from a school and this year is from a community college. We are out of state, but she is apparently eligible for in-state tuition via the GI Bill, so I’m not sure where that puts her. She is a dancer, so I’m not sure where Mason Gross puts scores and grades compared to the audition and talent assessment.

Also re application dates, though my D auditioned in October, she submitted her app near the deadline and her SRAR after.

Hopefully, they release my admission, rejection, or deferral tonight I don’t want to wait till Jan 18th/ Mid Jan.

I have a 3.61 Cumulative GPA Weighted
9th 3.51
10th 3.49
11th 3.85
12th Q1 4.4
2 AP’s and Mostly All Honors in High School
SAT: 1200 630 M 570 E

Can someone chance me? Don’t Sugarcoat

You have perfectly fine stats. They may release a few more tonight or tomorrow, but after this week we will have to wait until around Jan 18th/mid-Jan. Do not worry though, your stats are really good. I have friends who have gotten in this year and in previous years who have had SAT scores of 1100 and 3.0 GPA’s.

I think you have a pretty decent chance to be honest, especially if you have a good essay and extra curriculars. My school uses this program called Naviance and it has a scattergram feature that shows everyone who has gotten accepted/denied/waitlisted and what their stats were. A lot of the people in your range were accepted into Rutgers NB so I wouldn’t worry that much.

@Peach3000 - DN got into BSN @ NB. She heard last night.

Thank You. When it comes to college I think reassurance from other applicants always helps cool down nerves. We all deserve this after the time and effort we have given for the past 4 years of our lives. Good Luck to everyone. I hope to see some more acceptances on this page tomorrow.

DS applied RD on 11/8…he received acceptance to SAS NB today. Still waiting on RBS…

My son was accepted to the schools of engineering, business and arts and sciences. In-state. ACT 34, UW GPA 4.0, W GPA 4.7. I guess we will hear about any merit scholarships at a later date.

Congrats to all accepted!

Accepted into Rutgers NB school of engineering for biomed and the school of environmental and biological science for bio tech. GPA - 4.0. SAT - 1280. ACT -26 (taken only once). NHS, Student Senate, Technology Honors Society, Spanish Honors Society.
