I don’t think decisions come out until mid-January… it appears that way in last year’s 2023 thread for RU-NB. Also, how are we notified via the coalition application? I have two schools applied to via coalition, and there’s been no updates, and there doesn’t appear to be a university portal, such as most universities… Anyone have experience with the coalition acceptance process???
you set up an 8 character password during application. This is needed to check status via undergraduate admissions online services
Okay, I didn’t know since decisions have come out December 15-19th previous years
Last year according to the CC thread, many NB EA found out Dec. 19 late in the evening.
Sit tight folks. My son was accepted last year to Rutgers NB School of Engineering and also Arts & Science. It was the Wednesday before Christmas (first wave) after 10pm.
So it is most likely coming out today then?
@spqr70nj My son applied to Engineering as well… Can you tell me what your son’s admission stats were? GPA and SAT? Thanks; just wanted to know chances… Thanks. My son is 3.82; 1480.
@droppinknowledge your son has very good stats and should have no problem getting into the program. My son’s stats were GPA 4.0/SAT 1290. He ultimately declined the offer as he didn’t want to stay close to home. Good luck!
Does anyone know for sure when the decisions come out?
i heard that theyre coming out mid january but dont know that for a fact. Doesanyone know which campus is most challenging to get into? i applied to New brunswick. Whats the order of the hardest campuses?
As with other state university systems, the flagship campus (NB) is the most selective for undergraduate admission. Post # 31 contains a link to the profiles by campus and individual school
@roxyrocks664
1.New Brunswick
2.Newark
3.Camden
- based on the 2019 admissions profile
I thought the decisions come out either today or tomorrow
@lolwhatamidoing all early action decisions? and for all campuses?
@roxyrocks664 Rutgers New Brunswick is the toughest of the three campuses. Admissions are handled separately by each campus.
With respect to the earlier question on decisions in January, Rutgers does it in waves - which became ridiculous. However, last year the first wave was like today (Wednesday before Christmas), then again around January 28-29th. With balance in February. It was an unwarranted lengthy process.
So what i’m hearing is… we stayin up tonight lol
Yup…right after 10 pm last year.
Do they email or just update the portal? Do Mason Gross decisions (if artistically accepted already) come out at the same time?
I double checked…10:30 on on Weds. 12/19/18 for SAS and Engineering EA. Maybe not all, but a wave of them.
After 10pm start checking the Rutgers portal. Email notifications typically do not follow until the next morning. Usually everything hits by 10:30pm. Don’t get discourage if you do not receive a response. It will be included in the next wave whenever that follows in January. Good luck!
