Rutgers College Honors Program Chances

<p>Hey, I was wondering if I had a good chance to get into the Honors Program at Rutgers College (New Brunswick/Piscataway). Maybe even some money? Or am I going over my head? I live in New York.</p>

<p>I think you're into the honors program for sure. (They look for at least a 650 critical reading and 700 math)</p>

<p>Rutgers doesn't look at recommendations, so they are irrelevant at this point.</p>

<p>As for scholarships, I had very similar scores and received the Scarlet Scholarship which was $5000 per year.</p>

<p>I think that they may not auto-admit you because of your 15% ranking (they put 10 as a requirement). </p>

<p>In that case, you'll have to be nominated for the program by your GC in which case you will need your recommendations, so keep them handy.</p>

<p>In this event, so long as you get your form (found on the honor's SAS website) in by the deadline, you should get in pretty easily.</p>

<p>You are in good shape. The class rank can be a problem if they are picky, but your SAT score is certainly good enough. If you don't get auto-admitted, then look into the nomination process like Dodger said.</p>
