Rutgers Engineering

So I'm going to Rutgers and I got into the School of Arts and Sciences, School of Engineering, and School of Biological Sciences at New Brunswick and was leaning towards a engineering major because I really don't know what I want to do in a major and engineering seems like he safest career path since I don't want to become a doctor. I like working with hands-on projects and like seeing how things are put together, as well as designing and putting little details in to make it perfect, which makes me think that I'd enjoy engineering. However, I'm worried about the math and science part of it. I took Calculus, Physics and Chemistry in high school but they weren't AP levels or anything and I don't particularly find Calculus interesting....I'm worried I will 1) not enjoy those classes to the point that I can't continue the major and 2) I will completely fail that those classes = killing my GPA = killing my chance at a good job.

Should I give it a shot and transfer schools if I don't like it? Should I try at all? Who can I talk to about something like this (not my school counselor, she's incompetent) ?

well if you like the hands-on/designing/how things work and are actually interested in learning these things then engineering seems to be a good fit. Regardless if the calc is a little boring, the overall learning how things work will be rewarding to you
