<p>Question about Rutgers Essay</p>
<p>Is the essay for Rutgers judged in the admission selection process? Or is it solely for scholarship? Would a mediocre essay hurt chances for admission in a harder-to-get-into school (say pharmacy)?</p>

<p>Wouldn’t a general topic be better? All it’s asking is what traits do you have that you can bring to Rutgers. You can talk about pretty much anything, as long as it describes yourself without saying it directly. And make it interesting of course, cause I don’t think the admissions people like the same essay over and over again.</p>
