they are all very different disciplines… ultimately, it depends on what you actually want to do.

I got in!!

School of Arts and Science (NB) - Accepted
School of Business(Newark) - Accepted

I really dont deserve this…

OMG EMERICA I’ve been stalking you for a while now and i really feel bad for you but…YOU WILL GET IN!

*** is going on with my application!? I’m calling tomorrow to see if everything is in order cause something isn’t right here…
Unless…jokerg what nationality are you?

congrats jokerg. -sigh- I wonder if i’ll ever get in now.

I’m indian (lol I know worst indian ever)
Yea but you should call but trust me your in! but I go to a pretty good school, UCVTS its like a vocational school you can go to thread “chance me” to see my exact SRAR …@cometstarg what are u stats and where did u apply?

That might be why. I’m white and from a public school.

Emerica you prob said this already but what are your stats?

GPA: 3.2 W
SAT: 1810 (1220 M+CR; 610 each)
ACT: 25

In-state. Currently taking Calculus…
4 years of Ice Hockey (3 on varsity)

That’s pretty much everything significant…

I just called and they said to “wait out some more.” But apparently everything is in…

My stats aren’t as good as Emerica’s

2.6 uw gpa (horrible junior year)
1380/2090 SAT
SAT IIs - Lit 690 Math I 630
some clubs and a job. I’m Nigerian, but that doesn’t really help in Jersey lol

I applied to the SAS and Environmental but I’m thinking I won’t get in due to my GPA

^ What is your weighted GPA? I think they take that more into consideration rather than your unweighted.

And to Emerica, Rutgers doesn’t base who they admit by their race. You being white and from a public school wouldn’t put you at a disadvantage.

Emerica your stats are like my friends–she applied in early September/October and is still waiting as well. Hang in there!

Just an update: I was previously admitted to NB Arts & Sciences and NB Business. I’ve ended up waitlisted for pharmacy.

3.667 weighted gpa, 18 Honors/AP classes taking/taken (But two C+s)
top 25% of class
34 ACT
Decent essay, some leadership in EC’s.
NJ Resident; Asian female.

Yea emerica…me being indian if anything is a disadvantage since there are so many of ‘them’ at rutgers…but trust me your in! I’d say before the end of month YOU WILL BE IN!..ohh cometstrag… That GPA is pretty low I mean you could get into newark but I dont know about NB …However, there is a possibility that you can get in after you are put in the waited list so maybe by like april or may?.. Good Luck! ( I reccommend other backup schools though)

Majority at Rutgers, definitely. But they always take “minorities” first… this is getting a bit ridiculous still. At least other people are waiting from October too (so says sjt haha).

I just assumed they take people with better stats first rather than their minority status.

Worse come to worst, you guys have until the end of this month to hear back from Rutgers. G’luck!

Dont worry Emerica, I still didnt hear back either. Still waiting…

“Not Admitted” to SAS
REALLY!??!?!?!

(other two are in process)

That is extremely unfair.Maybe they have limited spots and probably can only accept you in to one college.Anyway i wish you the best of luck!

That’s what I’m guessing but it would’ve been nice to see all the answers at once then. I don’t have much hope for engineering if I got denied from SAS (since SAS is easier…)

im not sure if this helps but i think you might get into engineer because i actually got into engineer before i got into sas which is kinda weird but i just think there are too many people applying to sas, but either way good luck!
