Rutgers Fall 2010 Transfer students

Have any Fall 2010 transfers been offered admission? If so, please post when you applied and when you heard back. Also, posting your stats would be a big help to the rest of us that are sitting on the edge of our chairs!

Still waiting on mine =/

Still waiting for my two darn transcripts to be processed :frowning:

Purdue = 2.0 GPA
Johnson & Wales = 3.53 GPA
High School = 3.2 GPA, 1140/1600, 1630/2400, Top 50 High School in NJ, Doesn’t class rank but 75%-80%

still anxiously waiting here…uggh

yeah, I’m waiting on my reply as well, although I only just sent in everything literally a day before the “deadline”. Which is funny, my HS almost screwed me over, Rutgers didn’t get my HS transcript until like 4 days after the deadline, but when I called Rutgers they said they go by when they postmarked it, and my HS ended up postmarking it for the 13th. I’m sure I won’t hear until March or so.

Stats -
3.63 GPA
Will have Associate’s Degree
60+ credits
Phi Theta Kappa Member

Keep in touch guys, and good luck to all of you. I’m just as anxious as you guys!

UGH im still waiting too this is torture

we wont know til much later. patience.

UPDATE:

I sent my application in like a day or two before the priority application date. Schools I applied to -

Rutgers Business in Newark
Rutgers Business in Camden
Rutgers SAS New Brunswick.

Today, I was checking my status screen and noticed I got accepted into Rutgers Business Newark. Hopefully I get into SAS New Bruns!!!

good going scold. when i read your first post, i said to myself, “yea, scold’s getting in- no doubt!” Glad that came to pass. I myself am a little worried to be honest. I sent in all of my credentials before the deadline. however, on jan 20th i checked the update screen and it said that all of my credentials were received by the 20th, even tho before that it had read “all required credentials received through 01/15/10.” which was the deadline date. what does this new date mean? has anyone else encountered this? Thanks.

Hey congrat’s scold! Best of luck with SAS-NB man. Hope I can get into either one also, preferably SAS-NB…

Congrats!

I’m applying to the School of Engineering and SAS-NB

3.8
NJSTARS
Phi Theta Kappa
Will have AS in Engineering

This is the first school I ever applied to, so I’m really nervous.

Scorpio -

Those are very strong Stats, I’m sure you will be fine. I’m nervous as well though about getting into SAS New Bruns because I really want to get into the finance program there, and that’s the most competitive Business program they have. :(

what are my chances with a 3.16 GPA from stockton college with just 17 credits?

Thanks, Scold
I’m sure you will get in. I’m just nervous that engineering will be super hard to get into as a transfer.

I was attending Rutgers University Newark where I could not afford my books because my financial aid was not granting me enough money. I then joined the United States Marine Corps. I finished at Rutgers University Newark with 12 credits and a 2.5 GPA because of my financial distractions. If I had my financials together I would have had a 3.0 to 4.0 GPA at Rutgers University Newark. I am currently attending a community college. I will have 12 credits and a around 4.0 GPA at the CC. I will be applying to Rutgers NB with 24 credits and a 3.25 GPA. Do you think that I have a chance of getting in for the fall semester 2010?

Hey guys… I applied for fall 2010 for SAS at both New Brunswick and Newark. I hear Newark is easier to get into than Brunswick. However, I applied before January 15th and am waiting for a reply. I’ve been at a CC for almost 3 years and I’m ready to transfer. My cumulative GPA is kind of low (below a 3.0) but last semester I pulled off a 3.2. I wrote my essay on my struggle through school and my learning disability and how much it has brought me down but that I finally pulled myself through, as well as that I dedicate myself to doing good and putting in the extra effort. What do you think? I’ve had B’s and C’s and no one F’s that have been marked on my transcript incorporated with my GPA. Last semester I pulled 2 A’s 1 B and 1 C as well as a C+ but it was a math non-credit course. I also explained my struggle with math but I am passing and dedicating the time for that as well. I’m really nervous because I know people that have better grades than me got rejected so… it doesn’t make me feel too great  I have a lot of credits since I have been at a community college so… what do you think are my chances or what do you think they could do?

I got in today! I was accepted to the SAS-Math and School of Engineering.
I have a 3.80 GPA. My boyfriend was accepted too as well. I think a lot of us are hearing back today?

^ Congrats! Did you apply before the Priority deadline or no? Also, do you know what your boyfriend’s GPA is? Thanks!

I had all my stuff in about a week before the priority. My boyfriend did too, but didn’t get his highschool transcript in until about a week after. He has a GPA higher than mine, around a 3.9. He’s also for engineering. We got these emails from Rutgers asking us to join a group for accepted people.
Good luck to everyone!

I transferred last fall, but I can’t remember if I read anything about this before, so I’ll ask here!

My boyfriend applied before the deadline to SAS, but has been having trouble with one of his previous schools regarding his transcripts (saying he’s owed them money, but he never heard of it before and was able to request transcripts when he transferred just last year with no problem).

I know they can’t fully consider him until all the paperwork is received, but do you think the delay is enough to reject him? We moved so we are not close enough to the trouble-causing school to just stop by to talk to someone, but I know this is the next step. Thanks!

Again, I transferred last fall into SAS so feel free to ask me questions!
