They have access to all the documents that have been received by admissions :)

Accepted from both NB SAS and Enviromental & Biological Sciences as of 3/15/10!

Congrats NJAllDay :)

Got Accepted in NB SAS with a 3.18 GPA from community college

JenniferRU, I am going early tomorrow morning! I’m hoping for the best.
NJnative, Congrats! If you don’t mind me asking, how many credits did you have?
NJAllDayRU, Congrats also!

i am transferring with my associates degree and 64 credits

I applied in January 2010 to Rutgers Newark, all materials were in by January 25th. I still have not heard a response yet? Anyone else apply after me and get a response? or Before me?

Waiting for update on transferRU :)

FU they had all my documents on jan. 25th too, although I sent everything out by the sixth. my file was last viewed on the 2nd.

I went to the Undergrad Admissions today and talked with someone. They are very nice but I think I will be denied. I applied with 12 credits with a 3.42 GPA which they thought was great but since I only had 12 credits, they look very carefully at your high school transcripts which I hoped they wouldn’t. The lady told me that you need 24 credits in order for them not to pay attention to high school transcipts even though you still need to hand them in with the application. She didn’t straight out tell me that I was denied but she said I was borderline and told me that it would be best to apply for Spring 2011 when I had more than 24 credits and would most likely be accepted with the GPA I had now. I only had a GPA of 2.95 for high school. She said they usually don’t look below 3.0 and expect higher. Good luck to everyone else

well folks, im happy to say that i have been accepted to rutgers university, namely both the new brunswick and newark campuses for arts and sciences.
my stats:
graduating community college student (MCC)
applied before the deadline
3.32 GPA

I was admitted to the newark campus 1 week before i was accepted to the new brunswick campus. it took a full 2 months, so if ur still waiting, it doesnt mean that you’re not getting in.

well. i guess i won’t be getting in then. hah. oh well.

Just got accepted into NB and Newark SAS from BCC (just transferred out, didn’t graduate). i had a 3.5 GPA and i applied about a week after the deadline.

Congrats to everyone who got in! and if ya didn’t don’t worry, i got rejected the first time too…

CONGRATULATIONS!! to everyone that got accepted. I was just accepted 3/22…applied 2/17 as a transfer student graduating in May. GPA was 3.366

then i guess im not getting an acceptance letter either. thanks for the heads up transferRU.
I missed the priority deadline, i currently have 14 credits with a GPA of 3.58 & my highschool GPA was horrible(2.7…) but i checked my status & it says spring semester 2010 grades requested. so i dont know if i still have a chance… until they see my current grades…
but im from out of state, so iuno if that factors in anywhere in my application lol.

Just checked my status (I applied Priority) and I got accepted into SAS - New Brunswick!! If I decide to attend, I have to finish up some classes there (requirements) and then I want to transfer to the Business school in New Brunswick.

By the way, if anyone has read my other posts you will know my story and I was completely honest with Rutgers about everything and wrote, at least what I thought was, a really great essay.

I believed my chances were not so good based on my past but I guess the admissions staff saw that I’ve drastically changed and have given me a shot. I plan on proving to them it was a good decision.

Best of luck to everyone else.

im really nervous about my acceptance. my file hasnt been viewed since 03/02/10. im coming from stockton college (4 year school in NJ) with just a 3.17 GPA through 17 credits with 16 in progress.

i was originally accepted into rutgers from high school last year, but my acceptance was rescinded due to poor senior grades. i never got a chance to explain why they were so low (family issues), so I did in my essay. my gpa from high school went from a 94 GPA to a 90 GPA due to the grades. my class rank also fell considerably. They let me know that I could not attend two weeks before I was supposed to move in, so I was left scrambling for a college. I enrolled at Stockton.

some more information: i achieved a 1700/2400, 1170/1600 on the SATS

I’m nervous as hell and I really want to go to Rutgers

also, I’m in-state and applied priority

im in the same boat… more or less, i have over 40 credits in local CC, with a gpa of 3.3. applied around priority deadline, but my status hasn’t been updated since 2/01…

MISSYU, don’t go by what I have to say because I know someone who got accepted to RU with 12 credits with a 2.5 GPA at montclair. I’m assuming I won’t because she was very concerned about my math. I never took precalc or calc in high school. I stopped after Algebra 2. Maybe you had harder classes than I did? Besides freshman year, I had all S Track throughout high school. Good Luck! You still have a chance!
