@minette921 I’m surprised that they asked for your first semester grades. You should not have had any problem getting in SAS in the first place. I’m sure you will get in. My son got in Engg, business, and SAS with slightly better grades.
Admitted into Rutgers NB School of Engineering.
International Student.
No SAT Result, as I graduated more than 2 years ago.
TOEFL: 85
GPA: 18.83 out of 20 (3.93)
Also, I got my decision on February 3.
Did anyone receive any scholarships lately? I was accepted to SOE and SAS on 1/29 but no scholarship information at the moment? Just wondering when scholarship information will be rolling out.
@sparky28 , nothing here either and we are expecting it, given stats and SAT scores. I think the vast majority are rolled out after FAFSA’s are done.
I received merit scholarship info a week or two after my acceptance to NB but didn’t receive my merit info for Newark yet. I only applied to and was accepted at Newark a couple of weeks ago though (athletics reasons). It’s taking longer for the Newark merit to come out than it did for NB.
@sparky28 @BandMom339 I spoke with the admissions office last week and I was told that all merit scholarships have already been awarded and notifications were sent out to those who received an award. Very disappointed as I was hoping for a merit award for my D, but if I was informed correctly, that ship may have sailed. You can always call the admissions office to confirm.
@Jules821 yes that was what I have heard as well. Everyone seems to be expecting a scholarship . in reality, it is very competitive and even the lowest amounts go to students around 2200 SAT. I’ve seen people here under 2000 shocked to not get one. Mine is 2160 and I got zero scholarships from Rutgers.
@jnkam24 I know it is really unfortunate that so many deserving students will not receive a scholarship from Rutgers. My sense is that many Rutgers awards are given to OOS students, we happen to be IS. This seems to be a trend as we have received merit offers from OOS schools such as Penn State, Delaware and UMass. Hoping for merit money from a few other OOS schools as well. Best of luck to you and all other students!
That’s probably true, my S received scholarship but we are OOS.
Im out of state too…
Some merit aid has been offered to students who won’t end up accepting, though, so I would imagine it rolls in to some degree through the spring.
I haven’t gotten in yet (my stats are listed above) should I be worried ? >.<
@minette921 me too! have you submitted your 7th semester? I know for Camden they asked for 7th semester and the next day it changed to “In Process”, so I don’t think you should be worried. They can admit up until the 28th.
@cf9882 yes they did ask for those grades and I submitted them…but im still worried! do you think i can get in? rutgers is my first choice!!!
@minette921 I think you could just from looking at your stats. But I’m also not an admissions officer so I don’t know what they are looking for this year.
I spoke with an admissions counselor last week who said scholarships would be going out through March.
Has anyone been accepted to Mason Gross?
Just got accepted into SAS yesterday. Anyone know when the scholarship is and the mailed acceptance letters get mailed?
Btw if anyone’s worrying about getting in, don’t because I got accepted with a 1450 SAT which is pretty low.
What was your GPA? I haven’t heard back yet
@minette921 Me Either. Do you think we will find out by Friday?
