Rutgers NB admission info (so far)

my high school gives me this website that documents everyone who has gotten into schools so far on a graph. Rutgers is my first choice so I look at the graph a lot. So far, it looks to be based on a combo of gpa and sat scores out of 1600. I have a gpa of 3.79 and an sat of 1210/1600 and look to be next in the line to get a decision. I do not think it matters when you applied, it is solely based on that because many people I know that got in first, met the requirement of being above a 4.0 and above a 1300, they are now accepting people with above either a 4.0 with a 1200 or being above a 3.5 with a 1300. i applied mid october and am still waiting to hear back, but one of my friends applied on the early decision deadline and heard back the next week so thats making me think time doesn't matter.

check rutgers actual website, you can log in to the undergraduate admissions and it will say your status

no i know, im just letting everyone know the statistics of the people who have heard back from rutgers so far from my school. i check the status page like everyday lol

dfanxiety, I saw the same chart for my school and the only people who have heard so far are those with near perfect SAT and/or GPAs. Hopefully Rutgers lets everyone else know soon!

Rutgers NB is my first choice and I really want to go there… what are your opinions on my chances?

My SATs are: 620 M/ 540 CR/ 520 WR (1160 math+reading)
GPA: 3.4 (weighted)

several honors classes
few AP classes

MANY extracurriculars:
Volunteered at a Hospital
Play School Sports
Hold leadership positions
etc…

I applied early action as well and i am in-state.

My choices for the 3 schools went like this:

Rutgers New Brunswick Business School

Rutgers New Brunswick Arts and Sciences

Rutgers Newark Business School

I got into the business school in newark… but i really wanna get into arts and sciences at NB!! what do you guys think?

If you fail to get in, call admissions and ask that they relook at your application. My son was accepted at Newark within a week, and initially was not offered admission at NB. Late spring and envelope came saying accepted, we called and they said that his application needed a more comprehensive review. When my son went to orientation the students were shocked at what the average gpa was for the incoming class. It was lower than a 3.0 The websites etc., let you think that highly academic kids go to Rutgers NB - maybe so for some of there top programs, but not in all cases.
